Local hair guru Jay Lefévre at The Crown London, Crouch End, has devised a range of Roots & Locks hair products designed in a salon, not a lab… that men (and women) will love!
Available at Murray’s, what will you start with?
Tame the Mane is a prewash conditioner that’s perfect for unruly tresses. Thick, curly, frizzy or porous hair can be more manageable with this 5-oil intensive treatment.
Less Is More shampoo + More Is Less conditioner are both fragrance-free (meaning, less bad chemicals) and not overly moisturising, making them perfect for daily use.
If you need more moisture use the leave-in (10 mins) Deep & Meaningful hot towel hair mask, just one treatment will leave hair feeling glossy. Or use weekly!
Unknotty But Nice is a leave-in detangling spray used on dry mane’s, to ease out knots and give a little volume. Great for kids!
Tone It Down rebalancing shampoo has a neutralising (blue pigment) that takes the edge off brassy locks. Blonde or grey, it can make white hair sparkle. (But test on skin 48 hours before use).
Food of the Gods Jay loves this oil – a vanilla, Vitamin E and essential fatty acids combo that moisturises and protects hair. It can be used as either a prewash, styling serum, or post wash scrunch ’n’ smooth shine.
Smooth Operator serum is a thick and absorbing heat protection, pre blow dry or straightening, or even when on that summer beach. Apply to damp hair before heating, or dry hair after styling. Can be used with a Bit of Oomph Thickener or…
Play With Me – a styler for all hair types. Apply to wet hair for extra moisture, mix with serums on curly hair – twirl it in – or apply before heat straightening hair. (Note, Matte Clay Styler gives a stronger styling hold for shorter, styled locks).
Rough & Tumble spray is like wearing the sea. Spray on and rough dry for volume and texture with a little sea salt type grit.
Happy Ending a finishing shine spray post washing and styling that smells like almonds!
